Yoga (asanas, meditation, pranayama) can accelerate one’s personal growth and bring about subtle or even profound changes, therefore choose well whom you practice and study with. It should be somebody that you feel comfortable with on a personal level, whose yoga style suits your needs (those with very sedentary lifestyles might need more movement, while those with stressful lives might need a more calming practice) and who is both supportive and knowledgable. Don’t hesitate to try several yoga styles and teachers – two-three classes with each – before deciding with whom you will continue.
